History and teachings
Somerset House Studios is an experimental workspace in the centre of London connecting artists, makers and thinkers with audiences.
Somerset House tackles subjects that offer different perspectives in history and humanity’s problems today. Subjects such as impacts on the planet, interrelations between today’s climate and legacies of colonialism are shown to audiences who can connect to these topics along with their own perspectives. With these connections between artists and audiences, the influences on European culture can be highlighted through these creative mediums.
Recommended for anyone interested in art. Unique depending on event. Does sometimes require prior knowledge. Admission is free though some events may cost. Flexible times depending on event.
Bus routes available, parking unavailable, 10 minute walk from station. Guide dogs are allowed, wheelchair access can be difficult due to uneven ground.
