A number of temporary and digital exhibitions. The permanent collection is quite vast. The collection of the museum includes: https://historymuseum.org/en/collections/ Among others: Bulgarian History and Development; Balkan history and development, Bulgarian culture, treasury, art and folk costumes; weapons, influential wars for the region, influnce in Europe; Bulgarian mission to Antarcticca and many more, also depending on the temporary exhibitions.

Cross-cultural dimensions
Every country has a National History museum, so a lot of comparisons can be drawn. The exhibitions here show not only Bulgarian history, but also Balkans, region and wider Europe. It is possible to see the historical progression, changes and different periods quite vividly and to be able to put it all into perspective. European influnce both on and from Bulgaria can also bee seen. Through the Children’s center, at an early age some of these can be presented as well
