This museum shows the history of the mining industry in Spain, as in Asturias there was a big industry. Through the experience, the visitor can learn about the mining activity in Asturias since the 18th century, discover what is the coal and how have we used it, and learn about the Industrial Revolution in Europe and the technological advances that there have been in this field over the centuries.

The use of coal as an energy source has been expanded through the entire world, but mainly in Europe, where the Industrial Revolution had more repercusion. Through the visit to this museum one can learn not only about how Spain has used this mineral, but also Europe

Located in El Entrego, in Asturias. It’s accessible by train, bus and car. There are trained staff and it’s adapted to disabled. Main language is Spanish
