History and teachings
During the visit to the Valle del Hierro-Legazpi, as its website informs, visitors can feel like they are travelling back in time by immersing themselves in old forges such as the one in Mirandaola, where the forgers perform a unique spectacle in the Basque Country, and where the farm owners will open the doors of their farmhouses, where you can taste the delicious Idiazabal cheese and cider pintxos, among other things.

This activity tries to teach about the ancient culture of a basque village. Preserving our culture is essential to maintain our identity. That’s why it’s related to other cultural experiences through the European Union in which they use cultural tourism as a way to preserve it

It’s located in Legazpia, in the Basque country. To arrive there, private car is needed. There are different activities with trained staff and they’re accessible to disabled. Languages are Basque and Spanish.
