History and teachings
The Athens and Epidaurus Festival is Greece’s leading cultural organisation and one of the oldest continuously running festivals in Europe. Spanning 65 years, the Festival has welcomed some of the greatest music, dance, and theatre artists of the international and local scene, in collaboration with the most prestigious Greek and international organisations, attracting large audiences from around the world.

Cross-cultural dimensions
The Athens and Epidaurus Festival is a project that takes place once per year when artists from all over the world represent their countries with their participation in the festival that is placed in Epidaurus, a symbol of culture for the whole of the world. The main aim of this project is the intercultural dialogue and the exchange of cultural ideas through theater, music, visual arts and dance.
